Besides living/working in
Pflugerville, it is important to frequent Pflugerville businesses. If our nearly
32,000 residents did so, what a difference it would make--more tax money would remain here
and more businesses that meet our needs would locate or remain here. Better roads, parks,
police protection, and more are a result. Come Home and Shop (downtown and beyond).

Developer has
cancelled building a proposed Sexually Oriented Business on Grand Ave. A Neighborhoods Planning Meeting to stop a sexually oriented business on
Grand Avenue was held on Jan. 17th at Heatherwilde HOA Clubhouse since such
business has received a permit to build, in Austin's ETJ west of the Pflugerville city
limits. Many in the Pflugerville area, including local, county, and state government
officials, were concerned about the negative economic impact this could have
on their home values, quality of life, and their children and neigborhood
safety. A number of Pflugerville area HOAs and churches worked together to collect
signatures and letters from their residents and organizations to let developer and
government agencies know they don't want his topless bar built. See www.stopsob.com for letters, etc.
